CLINICAL SKIN REJUVENATION/CHEMICAL PEELS
MODIFIED JESSNER: MID-DEPTH PEEL - $125
For
maximum results, the patient should have a series of 3 to 4 sessions
with approximately 1 to 2 weeks between sessions. The patient will see improved
skin tone, lightening of skin discolorations, improved moisture
absorption and congestion removal. Light to medium skin flakiness may
result for 2 to 4 days.
VITA A PEEL - PROGRESSIVE PEEL - $95
WITH MICRODERMABRASION - $165
This
treatment with strengthen and brighten the skin. Patients with broken
capillaries or rosacea can benefit from this treatment. For optimal
results, the patient should have 3 to 4 treatments with a 2 week break
between treatments. The patient leaves with product on the affected area
that must remain a minimum of six hours up to overnight. The patient
will experience light exfoliation for 1 to 3 days.
LACTIC/GLYCOLIC PEEL - $65
The
natural acids in this peel work to exfoliate dead cells revealing
smoother, softer, younger-looking skin. A series of 6 treatments is
recommended.
OBAGI BLUE PEEL - $250 - $550
This
peel can restore tighter, smoother and younger looking skin for all
skin types. Non-facial areas may also be treated. This treatment also
improves sun damage, dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores and
shallow acne scars. For optimal results, the patient should have a
series 2 to 3 peels. Healing occurs in approximately 7 to 10 days.

TCA PEEL
(TRI-CHLOROACETIC ACID) - $200-500 consultation suggested.
Medium depth peels are usually performed with trichloroacetic acid. These peels are only performed once or twice every couple of years. A chemical peel is a treatment in which an acid solution is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. TCA peels have the same benefits as light peels and in addition remove larger wrinkles and precancerous skin lesions, because of the deeper penetration. This chemical works well for treating fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes, acne scarring,and pigmentation problems. The only draw back is that a medium depth peel makes the skin on the face look like a severe sunburn for one week. Your outer layer will turn brownish and have large flakes to possible sheets of exfoliation. If you have multiple precancerous skin lesions this can be a better alternative than using Efudex, which makes the face look sore for six to eight weeks. A person having a medium peel must stay in for one week to recover from the procedure. Pre-treatment with suggested products produces more favorable end results, and fewer side effects.
